Career

Graduated from Osaka Prefecture University in 1991
Engaged in optical cable production technology, optical semiconductor device research, and development, sensing system development, etc. at a company
In 2014, transferred to Kanazawa Institute of Technology ICC and engaged in research and development on fiber composite materials.

Research Theme
  • Advancement of process monitoring technology for thermoplastic CFRP press molding
  • Microstructure analysis CFRP structure by X-ray CT image analysis
Explanation of the research

Current my research is involves molding technology, non-destructive inspection, and structural analysis of composite materials. The main research partners are companies in the fiber composite material industry, which contribute to the development of technology of various industries, such as the development and manufacture of composite materials, molding of products, and production of manufacturing equipment. Press molding technology development involves acquiring material properties and developing molding technology based on the results. Non-destructive inspection and structural analysis analyze fiber orientation in detail from X-ray CT images.
Recently, my research has been on the development of digital twin technology in the manufacturing process. Focusing on the development of technologies that build virtual product models based on sensor measurement data during the manufacturing process and estimate product quality during manufacturing.
