Evaluation of Permeability using stitches as parameters in NCF materials.
NCF (Non-crimp fabric), which generally has less deformation of the base material, is sometimes used in the molding of composite materials, but since the base material specifications of NCF are diverse, the designer makes an engineering judgment. In recent years, basic data for selecting a base material has been constructed by molding simulation by flow analysis. In the flow analysis, the base material must be selected based on the above. Permeability measurement is attracting attention because the penetration rate K value is an important parameter.
Therefore, we focus on the number of stitch holes, which is estimated to have a large effect on the in-plane and out-of-plane penetration rate of NCF, and evaluate the dependence on the penetration rate permeability using stitches as parameters.
